Webinar – SMSF end of year checklist

June is not a time for procrastinating when it comes to SMSF end of financial year obligations.  It’s the one time of year when timing is everything and for some it becomes the one time of year when they start looking for solutions for the things they don’t get done by the 30th June cut off.  Coincidently, this year 30 June is a Friday so get everything done early in the week and celebrate the end of financial year without any lingering thoughts of “did I do that?”

In this webinar we will focus on the key issues that need to be addressed prior to 30 June each year and in the immediate aftermath.  Amongst the issues that we consider will be:

  • Meeting pension obligations
  • Ensuring all contributions are made
  • Notice of intention requirements and 1 July pension commencements
  • Transfer balance account reporting

Leaning Outcomes:

At the end of this webinar, participants will have an appreciation for:

  • The ramifications of failing to meet pension requirements
  • The rules about contribution acceptance versus allocation
  • How 1 July pension commencements can impact a fund
  • The importance of obtaining non standard asset valuations as soon as practically possible
